Georgia Mountains Unitarian Universalist

Commitment to Voter Engagement

The Georgia Mountain Unitarian Universalist Congregation (GMUUC) has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement by actively participating in Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts. The congregation was recognized as a Side With Love Good Trouble Congregation in both 2022 and 2024, reflecting its dedication to supporting democratic participation. During each of these campaigns, GMUUC received a grant of $500 from the UU Funding Program, which provided essential support for expenses such as postcards and postage. As the upcoming Mid-Term Elections approach, GMUUC is once again preparing to engage in GOTV activities and plans to apply for this grant in the current election cycle.

Get Out the Vote Grants

GOTV grants up to $500 are available for your 2026 #UUTheVote projects. UU congregations and organizations frequently support the democratic process in an election cycle in a non-partisan* manner by participating in voter registration drives, organizing to stop voter suppression, providing non-partisan educational materials or forums for voters, or by volunteering to help registered voters get to the polls on election day.

GOTV Grants ~ Rolling Deadline: Apply between February 14th and October 31, 2026! Available until the funds are depleted!  Final Reports will be due in December 2026.
