  • Summary: Requires State Board of  Education rules for ESOL outreach and  interpreters; materials accessible in  parents’/students’ languages.

  • Summary: Strips immunity from local  governments/officials that don’t enforce  Georgia/federal immigration laws; requires  honoring ICE detainers

SB 116 

  • Summary: Requires DNA samples from individuals in detention with ICE detainers  charged with misdemeanors/ felonies.

Summary: Requires DNA samples when arrested for the commission of felony at the time such individuals are booked or otherwise processed by a detention facility

HB 319 

  • Existing law: Illegal to conceal or harbor an  undocumented person. Exception for government officials harboring someone who is a victim of or witness to crime 
  • Summary: HB 319 removes the exception. Anyone found  guilty can be fired and/or prosecuted

  • Summary: Prohibits foreign nationals from participating in ballot measure campaigns – Foreign nationals: 
    • Anyone not a citizen or LPR 
    • Foreign government, political party, or business
    • US business owned by foreign nationals

  • Summary: Limits what can be  purchased with SNAP benefits. Puts  citizenship requirement on SNAP
